Homesite Insurance is a leading insurance provider in the USA and has been a pioneer since 1997, as they were one of the first companies to enable its customers to purchase home insurance directly online.
During March 2020 the X_Bank University Challenge, an online inter-university competition using the Digital Banking Simulation by TOPSIM, was organized by Dr. Keith Pond (Loughborough University) and Klaus Walter. In this simulation, companies in the banking industry compete in the marketplace and each has its own business model, strategic focus & competitive advantage.
In the workshop “Collaboration Challenge within a Business Simulation” the employees met for several rounds of relevant management decisions for a simulated subsidiary and were thus able to get to know new roles in the company. The exemplary subsidiary was an innovative, family-run company that produces ergonomic backpacks for Kärcher cleaning equipment.
