Providing guidance when it matters! 
After school, many people are faced with major decisions: Is university right for me? What options do I have? Who can support me with applications or financing? ArbeiterKind.de provides guidance and answers to these questions.
Supporting first-generation students
The organisation focuses on pupils and students who are the first in their family to study. Their path to university is often less straightforward—not because of ability, but because experience and guidance are missing in their immediate environment. ArbeiterKind.de offers clear information, personal support, and access to a nationwide volunteer network.
A community that makes a difference
What stands out most is the commitment of the volunteers. There are more than 6,000 active mentors across Germany, many of whom have taken the same path themselves. They know how valuable open conversations, encouraging advice and practical tips can be. Their support helps to reduce barriers, build confidence, and open up new perspectives.
