Recap: Business Simulation Congress 2020

On September 22, 2020, 50 business simulation enthusiasts met again – this time, however, not as usual in Constance but virtually. Nevertheless, it was a day full of exciting discussions about digital teaching and the use of TOPSIM – Business Simulations. In this blog article we share our impressions of this online event with you.

The day started with a welcome and introduction from TOPSIM. After a short coffee break, Asja von Berlepsch, our Learning Consultant, began with the workshop “Interactive Digital Teaching“. Its main focus was on the challenges that can arise during online seminars and some tips and tricks on how to make them more interesting and engaging with simple methods. In addition to the theoretical input, the participants completed interactive tasks and could thus directly try out some of the possibilities themselves. The workshop participants also learned more about the use of TOPSIM – Business Simulations in digital teaching. During the lunch break Fabian von Kleinsorgen streamed our newest business simulation TOPSIM on Demand Business Challenge, during which the participants had the opportunity to get to know its special features.

After the lunch break the presentations of our customers and users started. In nine different short presentations interesting seminar concepts with TOPSIM Business Simulations and innovative solutions for their digital execution were introduced. Both universities and companies shared their experiences with TOPSIM in times of Covid-19.

We would like to thank our speakers for great insights about simulation-based seminars and online learning and all participants for lively discussions and interesting ideas. We are looking forward to seeing you next year in Constance for our 30th anniversary on September 22-23. Stay safe and learn digital!
