Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is the largest construction and engineering company in India with more than 50000 employees worldwide. They used TOPSIM – easyManagement to train their employees and to improve the collaboration across locations. In this article we have summarized the most important points of our cooperation.
The challenges for the company
L&T is confronted with the challenge of developing the management skills of its employees, while not limiting the measures only to its managers. In order to involve its more than 125 subsidiaries, L&T was looking for an interactive online learning solution that would bring together the various target groups.
Our solution: TOPSIM – easyManagement
For one week 189 employees of 13 companies from 36 locations competed in the business simulation TOPSIM – easyManagement. They managed a virtual company over five periods and made decisions in all business areas: Sales & Marketing, Procurement & Production, Human Resources and Finance. By using various reports, the participants were able to track and trace their performance and KPIs. With the help of our solution, employees have worked across locations and functions, gradually improving their decision making.
The value for the client
Through the learning concept based on TOPSIM – easyManagement in the TOPSIM – Cloud L&T employees were able to improve their management skills. In addition, the participants, regardless of their area or level of expertise, gained a deeper understanding of the importance of cooperation. Due to the high level of commitment and motivation of the participants, L&T decided to organize the training with TOPSIM – easyManagement annually.
